The back of the Clotilde is a single narrow strap and open from the shoulder blades down. It exists for the dresses that nothing else works under, and it is cut so the front still holds without help from behind.
Support comes from a firm underbust band and a lightly moulded cup, both of which do their work at the front. Silicone at the strap edge keeps it where you put it.
